Devendra Pushker

Devendra Pushker has a Master of Technology degree in Computer Networking from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. He received Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science & Engineering from IILM Academy of Higher Learning, Greater Noida. He is expert in web designing using Drupal and other Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Joomla. He is expert in Web 2.0 standards and experienced with web technologies such as JQuery. He is also experienced with Adobe products related to graphics and publishing. Currently he is working as Knowledge Based Model Developer at QSI Healthcare, Bangalore, India.

He feels bad when people feel proud in speaking English at malls, banks and restaurants in India. Of course knowing a language or culture should make one proud but that should not indicate that other languages are inferior to it. In India we sometimes feel that when we speak Hindi it means that we are not highly educated or we are not from good background. He totally disagrees with it and the show of inferiority for Hindi in India inspired him to be a part of Argalaa.

Many of us don't know that India doesn't have any national language. Even after declaring Hindi as the official language of the Union in Article 343 of the Constitution, most of the educated people communicate in English whereas it is stated in the constitution that "It shall be the duty of the Union to promote the spread of the Hindi language". My involvement in Argalaa is to promote Hindi language for common man and to spread awareness among the people of India so that Hindi should get a place it deserves. As it is a collective responsibility of all Indian citizens to move forward and make a concrete effort to popularize Hindi not only in India but at a global level too. She is not the first one to initiate this but she does not want to be the last one.
